Travel

As ridiculous as it is to think about travel plans when we have a leak in our roof, need to replace our siding, and need to regrade the backyard so that a pond does not form against the house, I have been thinking of the places I would love to take the kids before they grow up and decide they would rather travel with friends.

So here is a partial list (I will not include weekend trips - New York City, Jersey Shore, DC etc.):

Maine
Arizona
Colorado
Washington State
Hudson River Valley between NYC and Woodstock, NY

England
Ireland
Scotland
Spain
Italy
Germany
Norway or Sweden
Greece
Egypt
Belize
Peru
Japan
China

We only have 10 years to do this. And I have only been to a few of these places myself.

But, if you are going to dream, dream big, right?

Oh! I love this . . . I keep a little travel wish list of my own. Haven't done much travelling over the past few years, but something about daydreaming keeps me going.

Lucky kids!

I daydream about traveling too, to lots of those same places! I hope we'll be able to take our kids to lots of cool places. This spring we are taking them to Maui for six days. We cannot wait! Hopefully next summer we'll be able to go to France.

We have always travelled with our only daughter as you probably gathered from reading my blog. This summer we are taking a 2 week cruise to 10 countries in Northern Europe-England,Scotland,Norway and Sweden among them. Our daughter is now 15 and loves to travel.

Keep dreaming about those trips--your kids will have wonderful memories.

You have all the same things to do as we do, but I like to dream too. Those are exactly the same places I would take K.

I hope you get to take them one day.

I hope that you all do get to go to at least some of these places - especially some of the places abroad. They will remember these trips and cherish the experiences so much. Do it!

I hope you get to go to each and every one of these places with them.

That is kinda cool that New York is a weekend trip for you.
To me it seems as far as Italy.

Right now I need to keep a list of places I DON'T want to go to because it would be easier then keeping track of places I do want to go.
But I can't think of a place I don't want to go to right now....
maybe Mt. Everest? But I would want to go there in a helicopter.
Sorry this is so long.

OK, and you don`t want to visit Estonia? That`s strange, I go there every year! LOL!

Eva,
How did I forget?! Ever since you posted the photo tour of Tallinn, I have been intrigued.

So there is another one for the list.

Oh, it was so easy to persuade you?! Well, I promise, if you go there you won`t regret it :)

I am a listaholic!!! I have a list for travel too and at the very top is Provence specifically. I hear it is so beautiful!
We won't be traveling for some time though, we have renos too, and my hubby could lose his job this year (GM) so we are budgeting like crazy now.
Someday though, i hope to make it to my travel wish list destinations, i hope you do too!
