One Small Change - Week Eight

The Brita Water Filter. It makes our perfectly good tap water taste better.
This is another ridiculously simple change that will make a big difference to us, and a small difference to the world. No more lugging gallons of water from the grocery. Four less giant water bottles going into the recycling bin each week. Much more cost effective.
When I think about it, I am embarassed that we did not make this change before. Why on earth were we BUYING water?!

I need to come back and catch up on your endeavors here. I am trying to be more conscience of these things. I have lugged my grocery bags to the store for years....I so enjoy this time of year to buy local from the farmers market etc.

Thanks for these posts!

Yeah! We had to do this, too!

We invested in one that screws onto the faucet and immediately felt better. Physically felt better.

I know, every time I but=y water I just laugh inside at how foolish it is

We have one of these and couldn't live without it in Charlotte. The water tastes terrible there, not like at my mom's in the mountains where you can drink right out of the tap!

Stephanie we did this a few weeks ago too and I forgot to blog about it! What an incredible difference it makes doesn't it??? Everything tastes better - cups of tea - cordial - a small change makes a HUGE difference!!! I never bought bottled water but I think everyone should do this to help the environment and save on all the plastic. I haven't yet found a solution to getting rid of the filters though?

Oh! I hadn't thought about the filters! What are we going to do with them?!

I love following your small weekly changes. They are inspirational and make me want to make small changes as well. I love this one. I too lug in bottles from the grocery store. We have been thinking about getting an in-sink filtering system. It would be so much more cost effective and environmentally friendly. Thanks for the push in the right direction. :)
